Sub-centres & Satsang Groups of the Ramakrishna Centre of South Africa

The Centre has 7 Sub-centres and 8 Satsang Groups in South Africa. The 7 seven sub-centres, namely Chatsworth, Dundee, Ladysmith, Gauteng, Newcastle, Phoenix and Pietermaritzburg have building facilities which include a Sri Ramakrishna Shrine. The satsang groups operate from local temples and schools in their respective communities. Apart from this there are unaffiliated groups receiving close guidance from the Centre. The satsang format followed by the sub-centres and satsang groups is similar to that of the Centre. The Centre promotes the development and growth of the devotees and the sub-centres and satsang groups through various programmes and activities so they can make a meaningful contribution to their respective communities in particular and society in general. The socio-religio and humanitarian activities of the sub-centres and satsang groups are in line with the objectives of the Centre.
