In 2005 The Ramakrishna Community Veterinary Clinic was created to serve and elevate the plight of the animals, primarily cats and dogs in disadvantaged areas. Free Veterinary Clinics are conducted under the guidance of a veterinary surgeon and a professional team and are assisted by members of the Centre. At these Clinics all animals are examined, vaccinated against rabies, most dogs are dipped (treatment for parasites), dogs that are not dipped and cats are sprayed and male cats are neutered if necessary. Owner's are educated on basic home remedies and proper care for their animals and pet food and medication is distributed.
